The AIDS Marathon is held in several locations within the United States and in Dublin, Ireland to help
raise funds for the fight against AIDS. I have chosen to run in the AIDS Marathon because AIDS is the
worst epidemic the earth has seen since the Black Plague. In fact, AIDS is rapidly approaching proportions
that exceed the Black Plague. Despite recent advances in medical treatment, the AIDS epidemic is far
from over. AIDS has claimed the lives of more than 400,000 Americans. An alarming number of new
infections are among women, people of color, and youth ages 13 to 24. Another 15,000 people become
infected worldwide every day. Here's the deal, I have made the commitment to be a runner in the AIDS Marathon (26.2 miles) in Dublin, Ireland even though the longest distance I have ever run is 7 miles. This commitment includes a 6 month training program and a sponsorship level of $3,700. I am asking you to please help me reach my sponsorship goal by becoming a sponsor for me.
